Experience the Untamed Beauty of Patagonia —Adventure at the Edge of the World!
From tango-filled streets to towering granite peaks, Patagonia is the place where contrasts collide in the most breathtaking way. Our journey begins in the Heart of Argentina, Buenos Aires, where European charm meets Latin energy. Here, vibrant neighborhoods, historic architecture, and irresistible cuisine set the stage for the adventure to come.
Next, we head south to the trekking capital of El Chaltén, nestled beneath the jagged skyline of the Fitz Roy Range. Hike to legendary spots like Laguna de los Tres, where glacial waters mirror dramatic spires, and feel the wild pulse of the mountains beneath your boots. Then it’s on to the mighty Perito Moreno Glacier, where thundering ice and shifting blues offer an unforgettable front-row seat to nature’s power.
We cap off the journey with a boat ride across the turquoise waters of Lake Argentino to reach remote Estancia Cristina—an off-the-grid haven steeped in gaucho tradition and surrounded by awe-inspiring wilderness.
From lively city scenes to glacier-carved landscapes, this Patagonian adventure blends culture, challenge, and wonder into one extraordinary experience.

First AGC trip, so I was not sure what to expect. The people (guides & fellow travelers) exceeded my expectations!
the group--all the women were interesting, warm, accepting and supportive. We didn't feel like strangers to each other. The guides were great.
I enjoyed the trip. I would have preferred more hiking, but understand the limitations with so much to see. I understand wanting to spend time in Buenos Aires, but felt a bus tour and meal might not have been worth the time spent there. Perhaps an extra hiking day in El Chalten and a bus tour the morning of the last day would be better. The flights to the US leave late at night (after 9 pm), so we had a full day to explore the last day. The tour could have used that day for a bus or walking tour of the city.
The Patagonian part of the trip was Excellent and the BA part more Very Good. Iara our guide in Patagonia was tremendous. She and Linda K. Both felt like part of the group rather than “guides” or “leaders” which I mean in a totally positive way. Their management of the trip was subtle and effective but it all felt like we were just a gang having a great time. I enjoyed the BA part but I’m not a city person and would have happily spent the whole time in Patagonia. Estancia Cristina was a real highlight. Would like to have stayed overnight.
The location, the people, the weather, all the guides
how fast the ladies came together and the overall good attitude of the guides/participants. Loved the variety of experiences and the cooking class was an unexpected treat
