We have carefully curated a selection of accommodations that will enhance your Patagonian adventure. From boutique hotels in the vibrant heart of Buenos Aires to cozy lodges nestled in the rugged beauty of El Chaltén, and comfortable stays near El Calafate’s natural wonders. Accommodations are double occupancy, with the exception of a couple of single supplements for an additional fee.

Below is the proposed itinerary for the trip. As is true on any adventure travel trip, plans for any specific day may be modified due to weather considerations, unforeseen circumstances, new opportunities, and group interests.

DAY 1
Welcome to Argentina! Upon arrival at Ministro Pistarini (EZE) International Airport, you’ll be greeted by an English-speaking guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day exploring the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires at your own pace. Known as the "Paris of South America," this cosmopolitan city is a captivating mix of colorful neighborhoods, stunning architecture, and lively culture. Wander through cobblestone streets lined with cafes, savor the aroma of sizzling Argentine beef, and browse antique markets or boutique shops in Palermo Soho. Kick off the evening with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 2
Dive into the rich culture and history of Buenos Aires on a full-day guided city tour. Visit iconic landmarks like Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, and the Evita Museum, and explore eclectic neighborhoods such as San Telmo, La Boca, and Recoleta. Marvel at the famous Recoleta Cemetery, the resting place of Argentina’s most emblematic figures, including Eva Perón. This immersive experience offers a glimpse into the vibrant lifestyle and history of this incredible city.

DAY 3
Today, your Patagonian adventure begins! Transfer to Jorge Newbery Airport for your flight to El Calafate, followed by a scenic drive to El Chaltén, the trekking capital of Argentina. Along the way, we will stop for lunch as time allows. Arrive at your cozy mountain lodge in El Chaltén, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Andes and prepare for the trekking adventures ahead.

DAY 4
Embark on one of Patagonia’s most iconic treks. Choose between a moderate-to-hard hike to Laguna de los Tres or a slightly easier option to Laguna Torre. Marvel at awe-inspiring views of Mount Fitz Roy, glacial lagoons, and rugged peaks as you trek through forests and valleys. A picnic lunch amidst this breathtaking scenery adds the perfect touch to your day. Return to El Chaltén for a relaxing evening.

DAY 6

    The treks range from moderate to hard, such as the hike to Laguna de los Tres, which includes a steep incline near the summit. Prior hiking experience is helpful but not mandatory. Guides will provide support, and participants should be in good physical condition.

The Appalachian Trail covers 150 miles in Vermont with about 100 miles of the trail coinciding with the Long Trail along the crest of the rugged Green Mountains. We'll cover approximately 50 miles, returning at the end of the day to our lodging near the small town of Plymouth, VT. You'll hike significant mileage on this trip - between 7.5 and 12 miles each day, which requires being in excellent physical condition.
