The Appalachian Trail covers 150 miles in Vermont with about 100 miles of the trail coinciding with the Long Trail along the crest of the rugged Green Mountains. We'll cover approximately 50 miles, returning at the end of the day to our lodging near the small town of Plymouth, VT. You'll hike significant mileage on this trip - between 7.5 and 12 miles each day, which requires being in excellent physical condition.

Join us in Tanzania for our Ngorongoro Highlands Trekking and Serengeti Great Migration Safari trip. We will spend two weeks traveling, trekking, and experiencing the best of Northern Tanzania. On this adventure, we do it all: from multi-day trekking, to safari, to cultural connection! You will get off the beaten track on a three day, 2 night camping trekking journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands discovering the real Tanzania on foot, viewing unreal landscapes and hundreds of native animals. First up is Tanzania's Tarangire National park where we will spot wildlife on a night game drive, then hike through Lake Manyara National Park and learn about medicinal herbs on a walk around the park, and spend the final days of the trip in the famous Serengeti National Park to take in the sights of the Great Migration and the elusive Big 5 of Tanzania: lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, and rhinos! Each night, relax and enjoy the famous African sunsets during your sundowners.

Southern Utah is home to some of the most well known national parks and monuments, and each has its own special magic and unique attractions: Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, and Capitol Reef National Parks as well as Snow Canyon and Goblin Valley State Park. Day hikes are a great way to explore this magical area and on our "tour du parks" you will gain a new appreciation of the diversity and beauty of southern Utah's geology.

Shenandoah National Park straddles the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains as they run north and south for over 100 miles. Embracing rolling hills, quiet hollows, abrupt hillsides, and verdant forests, the Park contains over 450 miles of hiking trails - all absolutely gorgeous in every season. We spend our days hiking this beautiful park and ‘come home’ to warm beds and hot food at the end of every day. The human history of the park is also very interesting, and we'll learn about the people who inhabited this area for years as we hike through Shenandoah.

Hidden away in a remote corner of Kentucky and Tennessee is a geologic and natural wonder. The Big South Fork, overseen by the National Park Service as a natural river and recreation area, is full of incredible features. Waterfalls, soaring cliffs, caves, sandstone arches, forests, rivers, and lakes abound in this truly unique and incredible place.

New Mexico is called the Land of Enchantment and we think we know why. It has stunning desert landscapes, breathtaking mountains, great cuisine and a spectacular river - the Rio Grande. It has a mix of European American, Native American, and Mexican heritage, the state is a unique and colorful place to visit. We've picked a sample of the some of the best that it has to offer in hiking, exploring and adventure. We will explore the area's cultural history, explore Bandelier National Monument, Chaco Canyon National Monument, and Ghost Ranch! Group size: 12

A hidden gem less visited than its neighbors and featuring an incredible variety of ecosystems - Panama is a tropical paradise not to be missed! Awaken your senses with a combination of water activities, hiking, yoga, and massage; with a side of healthy and delicious food and incredible wildlife and culture. Our group will be at Casa Cayuco to ourselves to relax, explore, and truly dive into what Bocas del Toro can offer!

Join us for 11 days of exploring Viet Nam followed by a visit to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. We'll visit Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, travel to the Sapa region where we'll hike through rice fields and explore limestone mountains, and then head north to Ha Long Bay for our last few days in Vietnam, cruising the bay's beautiful blue waters aboard a traditional Asian sailing boat. Our journey ends in Siem Reap, Cambodia where we'll experience its rich creative culture and the extraordinary temples of nearby Angkor.

Trek into the Chisos Mountains, paddle down the Rio Grande, and marvel at the diverse desert beauty of West Texas. This trip brings you into the heart of the region with hiking in Big Bend State Park and Big Bend National Park, paddling the Rio Grande and a trek up into the Chisos Mountains. This desert that on first glance seems so lifeless, is filled with hardy vegetation and a myriad of desert creatures. We think the Big Bend Region is a world set apart and suspect you will too.
