Level 1 trips are designed for anyone new to adventure travel, but travelers should have a basic level of training to ensure they are adequately prepared, even if they do not currently have a regular exercise routine. These trips are often designed to provide more ‘down time’, as well as some optional activities, and if you were to choose to do everything on the itinerary, they might be rated a level 2 or level 3.
